Recently, cases of hacking into personal profiles, e-wallets, various social media accounts, etc. have become more frequent all over the world. First of all, this problem concerns the Internet users who do not use all the tools offered by different resources for maximum protection of personal details. More often, this is due to lack of awareness among users that such tools exist.
Taking into account the previously described trend, we would like to additionally remind you that there are two ways of securing your accounts on the website of the Bit Trade Exchange of Digital Assets:
- Create a strong password, which will contain letters, digits and other characters (for example: mv254Cu!XFRo#A). Only you know this password, and it will not be used concurrently on other internet resources;
- Set up two-factor authentication (2FA). In fact, this is a method of two-level protection:
The first level is your Email and password, and the second one is a temporary confirmation code (2FA) to log in to your Bit Trade account. This code is required for each new login to your Bit Trade account. It consists of six digits and is generated in the Google Authenticator app. Please note that the temporary 2FA code is only valid for 30 seconds, after which it is automatically updated in the app.
It is also important to note that now, in order to transfer your Bitbons[i] to Assetboxes[i] of other Bitbon System Users[i], the use of the BTSC protection code (Bitbon Transfer Security Code) is compulsory. So, if you have not previously used this tool, you must set this code value on the “Security Settings” page in the “My Profile” section on the bit.trade website. The accompanying step-by-step information, displayed when setting the BTSC, will allow you to do this in just a few clicks.
Based on the foregoing, our Company offers Bit Trade Customers to pay special attention to creating a strong password and, if necessary, to strengthen Customers’ valid passwords and use additional tools to protect their Assets and personal details in their Bit Trade accounts.
